Chardonnay
After a special vintage, a powerful international-style Chardonnay leaves its barrique resting place in our cellar.
What is internationally known as Chardonnay is referred to as Morillon in Styria: identical varieties but highly different wines. We also like the Chardonnays in the style and tradition of Burgundy, creamy and spicy, why not with a good deal of wood. This is why, after a particularly warm vintage, we keep two small oak casks filled with Chardonnay in our cellar. The highly mature grapes needed are grown in the best vineyard blocks we have.
After a good while in the cask, we proudly fill a few bottles of this rare Chardonnay of international format – for ourselves and for lovers of this rare wine.
