Sauvignon Blanc Privat

Ideal weather is needed to make this wine of excellence.

The first version of “Privat” was made by our father Alois Gross back in 1997, in part to demonstrate the potential of a great vintage and the wide range of aromas Sauvignon Blanc has to offer. We owe this wine to the vines on the hillcrests of our sites, in the transition zone to the steepest sloping areas. In years with lots of autumn sun, the grapes remain on the vine until very late in the season. Overly ripe, the botrytis-free berries shrink to attain a very high sugar and acid concentration.
