A very late-ripening variety, needs warm sites with good air drainage. Clusters are medium-sized, cylindrical with a small side-cluster.
Cool, very vinous nose with aromas of thyme and chalk dust. With typical notes of citrus and cold smoke coming from the chalky soil. The palate is linear with elegant grip and a cool vibrant acid structure. Aromatic hints of shearling, pomelo and bean apple can be found. Juicy with ripe citrus fruit on the tight finish. – „so Wösch can“ (Thomas Schabl, Weinakademiker)
